Assistant ICT Trainer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Organizing, designing, scheduling, and managing ICT training sessions within the University.
• Developing comprehensive ICT training course materials.
• Developing, planning, coordinating, tutoring, and delivering courses tailored to identified ICT needs.
• Maintaining accurate student records in accordance with university procedures.
• Assisting in the repair and maintenance of computer hardware, software, networking devices, and electronic equipment.
• Troubleshooting and servicing printers, monitors, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and other ICT equipment.
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of six (6) years of working experience in a relevant field.
• Registered and Certified as a trainer by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) in Information, Communication Technology.
• Possession of a valid practicing license of KNQF Level six (6).
• MCSE Certification and CCNA certification are required.
• Demonstrable cyber security skills will be considered an added advantage.
• A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
• Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Kenyan Constitution.
