Kisumu County, located in Nyanza and comprising seven constituencies, is committed to transforming the livelihoods of its people through accountable, efficient, and effective leadership. The County Government is seeking a dedicated Assistant Engineer for Water Provision to join the technical team. This position is responsible for the technical planning, design, and oversight of water supply systems and infrastructure projects across the county.
Responsibilities
Design and oversee the implementation of water supply and technology projects.
Supervise technical teams in the maintenance and construction of water infrastructure.
Utilize engineering software such as AutoCAD and Water CAD to create and review technical designs.
Ensure all water engineering projects comply with professional standards and relevant legislation.
Prepare technical reports and project documentation to ensure efficient water service delivery.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure high standards of engineering and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
Requirements for Appointment
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Water Supply Technology, Water Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) is mandatory.
Must have served in the grade of Superintendent Water for a minimum period of three (3) years.
Demonstrated knowledge in designing software, specifically AutoCAD and Water CAD.
Thorough knowledge of relevant engineering legislation and professional standards.
Proficiency in Computer Applications.

Foreign Degrees: Candidates with foreign degrees must have them authenticated by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
Integrity: Successful applicants will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.
