The role of an Assistant Engineer II (Mechanical BS) involves providing essential technical services to the County Government of Kitui, focusing on the design, repair, and maintenance of mechanical installations across government facilities.
Salary Scale and Terms of Service
Salary Scale: Ksh. 39,700 x 1,470 – 41,170 x 1,520 – 42,690 x 1,710 – 44,400 x 1,920 – 46,320 x 2,000 – 48,320 x 2,290 – 50,610 x 2,350 – 52,690 p.m. (Minimum Ksh. 39,700 to Maximum Ksh. 52,690 per month).
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
Duties and Responsibilities
The appointed engineer will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
Design of mechanical services in government buildings and construction works.
Repair and maintenance of mechanical installations in waterworks, offices, workshops, conference complexes, and other government facilities.
Requirements for Appointment
Candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Be a Citizen of Kenya.
Be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Be Registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer.
