The Assistant Engineer II (Electrical) is a professional position within the Embu County Government responsible for ensuring the efficiency and safety of electrical systems across public infrastructure. The role involves technical design, regular maintenance, and supervision of electrical installations to support the county's developmental goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
System Design: Design of electrical and electronic engineering services for government buildings and ongoing construction works.
Maintenance and Repair: Oversight of repairs and maintenance for electrical/electronic installations in critical facilities including airports, waterworks, government offices, workshops, and conference complexes.
Infrastructure Support: Ensuring that all government facilities are equipped with functional and standard-compliant electronic systems.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Professional Registration: Must be registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB) as a graduate engineer.
Digital Literacy: Must be computer literate and proficient in relevant technical tools.
