The Makueni County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit two Assistant ECDE Teacher IIs on a Permanent and Pensionable basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for classroom instruction, providing holistic care, and ensuring a safe learning environment for early childhood learners. This role falls under Job Group 'G' with a salary scale starting at Kshs. 25,420 and progressing to Kshs. 33,170 per month.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducting classroom teaching and facilitating learning activities.
Providing role modeling, guidance, counseling, mentoring, and motivation to the learners.
Preparing regular progress reports and administrative records.
Ensuring the safety and security of all learners within the school premises.
Assisting in designing, organizing, and facilitating play-based learning activities.
Nurturing the holistic development of learners, including spiritual, moral, social, mental, physical, aesthetic, and emotional growth.
Managing ECDE classes and maintaining professional records such as schemes of work, lesson plans, daily activity programs, and attendance registers.
Preparing and developing relevant play and learning materials.
Requirements for Appointment
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C (Plain) or KCE Division IV at 'O' level.
Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) offered by KNEC, the Ministry of Education, or an approved equivalent.
Valid registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
A certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the National Police Service.
A valid medical report from a registered government health facility.
