The role of Assistant Director, ICT (Court Support Systems) involves providing leadership and technical expertise in managing and overseeing the development, deployment, and support of ICT systems critical to court operations within the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
Academic and Professional Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science & Technology, Information Systems, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Computing Science and Technology, Computer Security and Forensics or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
- Possession of at least one (1) technical certification in ICT Networks, Hardware, or Project Management.
- Membership in a recognized professional body.
- Meeting the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution (on leadership and integrity).
- Completion of a course in senior management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience and Skills
Candidates must have served for a minimum of three (3) years at the grade of Senior ICT Officer JSG 4 or in a comparable position.
Required experience and competencies include:
- Experience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Extensive experience in preparing RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solution designs, coupled with a strong working knowledge of vendor programs and the partner ecosystem.
- Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
- Must be a good mentor and coach.
- Possess excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven experience managing and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
- Familiarity with Network, Hardware, software development tools, and technologies.
