This is an entry and training grade for the artisan cadre within the State Department for Livestock Development. A candidate at this level will work under the guidance of a designated supervisor, focusing on essential carpentry and joinery tasks necessary for maintaining public infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities associated with this entry-level position include:
Making, installing, repairing, and maintaining carpentry works in public buildings and facilities.
Measuring and cutting wood, assembling and fastening materials.
Operating wood work machinery and equipment.
Collecting data for records and inventory pertaining to carpentry works in public buildings and facilities.
Adhering to safety protocols in the provision of carpentry works in building.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
A Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in Carpentry and Joinery from a recognized institution; and
Proficiency in Computer applications.
