Role Overview
The Application Support Specialist provides timely L1 and L2 application support by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues across IRC productivity tools and supported systems. The role ensures minimal disruption to users by performing routine maintenance and continuous improvement activities. Additionally, the specialist is responsible for configuring project management platforms like Jira and Monday.com, providing technical guidance to global IT staff, and delivering user enablement sessions.
Responsibilities
Provide timely L1 and L2 application support across IRC productivity tools and supported systems.
Perform routine maintenance and continuous improvement activities on systems in coordination with the Associate Director of Application Support.
Configure and administer projects and workspaces in Jira, Monday.com, and other project management platforms (user provisioning, access management, workflow configuration).
Support Atlassian ecosystem architecture decisions and migrations to new tools.
Provide guidance to global IT staff on incident response and escalation procedures.
Gather user feedback to understand emerging needs for relevant applications.
Plan and deliver user enablement sessions, including webinars and in-person/virtual trainings.
Build and maintain technical documentation, including Quick Resource Guides and troubleshooting tips.
Analyze incident trends across different regions and user groups.
Escalate complex application issues to Business System Managers, Vendor Partners, or Enterprise Technology Experts.
Key Working Relationships
Reports to: Associate Director, Application Support.
Internal Contacts: Enterprise Applications Team, Project Management Team, Business Relationship Team, and Application users.
External Contacts: Software and system vendors (Microsoft, Box, Zoom, Atlassian).
Requirements
Qualification: BA/BSc/HND degree in a relevant field.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of IT and business/industry work specializing in the support of Microsoft Products and other industry-standard services.
