We are recruiting a full-time Analyst to join the Advisory team in Kenya. As a member of the transaction team, you will be working on impactful transactions, in addition to building CrossBoundary’s long-term presence in the region. We are seeking candidates with 2-3 years of experience in high-caliber consulting or finance organizations. Experience working in developing countries, particularly in Africa, is highly valued.
Primary Responsibilities
Investment Documentation: Prepare investor documents including teasers, investment memoranda, business plans, etc.
Market Analysis: Conduct research and market assessments including macroeconomic, regulatory, and operational assessments of relevant companies, industries, markets, and topics.
Sector Strategy: Provide sector analysis of priority areas for investment.
Investor Sourcing: Lead identification of qualified investors and manage ongoing investor relationships.
Financial Modeling: Develop valuation and operational financial models.
Transaction Management: Coordinate due diligence and transaction execution.
Operational Support: Support Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities and the organization of conferences and other networking events.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in high-caliber consulting or finance organizations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Industry Knowledge: Experience working with a range of stakeholders (including private equity firms, Development Finance Institutions, and development agencies) to support investments in high-impact sectors.
Mindset: Self-starter who is passionate about creating lasting change in underserved markets.
Adaptability: High tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to operate effectively in a changing context; willing to take on new types of work without direct supervision.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences; builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues in stressful environments.
Mobility: Willingness to work, travel, and live in a sometimes-challenging environment.
