FSD Africa is a £30 million financial sector development programme based in Nairobi, funded by the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID). The Analyst, Adopt Programmes provides critical logistical and administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of program objectives. The role involves acting as a key team member in achieving results articulated in project plans, specifically focusing on agribusiness hubs, skilling programs, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Implementation Support
Facilitate the organisation and smooth execution of training sessions, community campaigns, and advocacy events across multiple countries.
Manage and maintain accurate records, schedules, and communication channels with partners related to agribusiness hubs and skilling programs.
Support the systematic tracking and analysis of key indicators, including training participation, youth mobilization, and gender-related outcomes.
Assist in the preparation of high-quality materials, reports, presentations, and briefs for donors and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate all logistics for site visits, stakeholder meetings, and training-of-trainers events.
Monitor partner deliverables and reporting timelines, providing timely follow-up and technical support.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing events and learning sessions, and manage the dissemination of program tools and updates.
Support the team in the project approval process prior to signing contracting documentation and release of funds.
Assist in developing and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Research and Analysis
Provide general research support by staying updated on current events and news relevant to the project.
Assist in analysing data and preparing reports related to risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and resilience-building initiatives.
Support the maintenance of the project knowledge management database and leverage data for operational objectives.
Prepare presentations, documentation, and other analytical pieces required for stakeholder engagements.
Support the development of Project impact reports and event collateral (concept notes, agendas, etc.).
Results Tracking and Impact Analysis
Ensure robust monitoring and evaluation through timely data collection and maintenance of a results tracker.
Support impact analysis of project-related activities, contributing to periodic pillar reports and external reporting.
Track periodic reports submitted by implementing partners, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Support documentation for project activities, including meeting minutes and progress reports.
Record Keeping and Compliance
Take responsibility for the maintenance of AFIYA records and SharePoint folders.
Ensure electronic and paper-based records are organized and stored effectively for legal and contractual compliance.
Liaise with the communication team to maintain the pillar contact database.
Maintain records of procurements to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Communication & Social Media
Support the rollout of the project communication and advocacy plan.
Draft and disseminate communications to project stakeholders, maintaining high standards of written English.
Create, edit, and schedule content releases for social media presence following a content plan.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience OR a Higher Diploma with 3 years of experience in Business Administration, Project Management, Economics, International Development, or a related field.
Certification: Professional certification in Project Management or Programme Management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is highly advantageous.
Experience: At least 2 years of administration work experience; a focus on project administration is an added advantage.
Communication: Excellent skills in written and spoken English.
Soft Skills: Proven organisational skills, ability to self-start, prioritize tasks, and a strong customer focus.
