Air Cargo Packaging Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform packing, crating, palletizing, and banding of materials.
• Ensure compliance with weight, balance, and safety requirements for all shipments.
• Prepare cargo documentation and verify the accuracy of packaging.
• Coordinate with air cargo and logistics teams to support timely shipment processing.
• Maintain packaging supplies and equipment.
• Follow hazardous material handling and packaging procedures when applicable.
• Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Support mission-critical logistics operations in a remote environment.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in cargo packaging, freight preparation, logistics, or warehouse operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE).
• Basic knowledge of packaging methods, material handling, and shipment preparation procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and prolonged standing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow packaging and safety instructions.
• Must possess a valid passport (valid for at least one year beyond hire date) and be able to travel internationally.
• Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain them for the duration of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
