Job Description
SMEP Microfinance Bank Limited is a public limited company licensed under the Microfinance Act to offer banking services including group, retail, and church banking, as well as asset financing. We are seeking a dedicated professional to fill the dual role of Administration Assistant & Driver. This role involves providing safe and efficient transportation services while supporting the bank's administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Duties: Perform assigned driving tasks, including local errands within the office vicinity and long-distance trips, adhering to all bank policies.
Safety Standards: Operate bank vehicles following international safety standards, exercising caution to prevent risks like theft and accidents.
Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain vehicles in excellent running condition, conducting daily routine checks and submitting weekly summaries of fuel consumption.
Safety Management: Ensure the safety of all passengers and the secure handling of goods and effects being transported.
Compliance: Ensure that vehicle insurance and all necessary licenses remain valid and updated.
Logistics: Collect and deliver bank correspondence to specified destinations promptly.
Administration: Execute assigned office administration tasks to expected standards and maintain high service quality.
Safe Practices: Adhere to safe driving practices, including local traffic codes and internal standards.
Qualifications and Competencies
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of driving experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
Education: Must hold a KCSE certificate with a minimum grade of C- (minus).
Professional Training: Minimum of a Diploma level training in a Business-related field.
Certifications: Completion of a Defensive Driving and Preventive Maintenance course.
Licensing: Must possess a clean and valid driving license of classes BCE and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Traffic Rules, road safety, and general vehicle maintenance (mechanical knowledge is an added advantage).
Personal Attributes: Must be a practicing Christian who upholds and embodies Christian values. Professionalism, confidence, and high integrity are essential.
Skills: Practical knowledge of computer applications, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and great customer service.
Autonomy: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Age Requirement: Candidates must be aged between 32 and 38 years.
