Job Description
United States International University - Africa is seeking to recruit an Adjunct Faculty of Chinese. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the relevant discipline using appropriate and innovative pedagogical approaches, and support the university's academic mission.
Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the relevant discipline using appropriate and innovative pedagogical approaches.
Prepare course outlines, instructional materials, assessments, and examinations in accordance with University policies and academic standards.
Facilitate an engaging and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and academic excellence.
Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback on coursework and examinations.
Participate in curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure program relevance, quality, and alignment with industry and disciplinary developments.
Participate in program assessment, accreditation, and quality assurance activities as required.
Contribute to departmental, school, and university committees, meetings, and other academic activities as required.
Participate in community engagement and professional service activities that enhance the University’s mission and visibility.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Dean or the University from time to time.
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience
A PhD in the relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university, or
A Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of university-level teaching experience.
A strong record of scholarly research and publications.
Proficiency in the use of educational technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for teaching, learning, and assessment.

Excellent knowledge of the subject area and ability to design, deliver, and assess high-quality learning experiences.
Strong ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of educational technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support teaching and learning.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
