About the Role
United States International University - Africa (USIU-Africa) is seeking candidates for the position of Adjunct Faculty – Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Management. Reporting to the Dean, School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, the incumbent will be responsible for teaching Pharmaceutical Management courses to undergraduate students.
Key Responsibilities
Teach and assess Pharmaceutical Management courses to undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Pharmacy program.
Introduce and mark practical and case-based reports for assigned courses that have a practical component.
Support and mentor students in their academic and career endeavors.
Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure programs and teaching content remain up-to-date and marketable.
Participate in program assessment and reviews.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
A Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Management, Pharmacy, Pharmacoeconomics, Health Systems Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognized/accredited university.
A PhD in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Management, Health Economics, or a closely related discipline from a recognized/accredited university will be an added advantage.
A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board will be an added advantage.
At least three (3) years of university teaching experience; demonstrated ability to teach pharmaceutical management, pharmaceutical supply chain, or health economics to students from diverse disciplines will be an added advantage.
