The Accounts Receivables (AR) Officer - Credit Collection at PathCare Kenya is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the organization through efficient billing and debt collection processes. The role focuses on ensuring timely payments, minimizing bad debts, and maintaining accurate financial records through regular reconciliations and tracking of key performance indicators like Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
Key Responsibilities
Invoicing & Collections Management
Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in accordance with specific contractual terms.
Manage the timely collection of outstanding receivables through consistent follow-up and proactive communication with clients.
Maintain updated customer accounts and reconcile all payments received to ensure accuracy.
Credit Control & Reporting
Implement effective credit control measures and conduct regular debt follow-ups.
Monitor and report on Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), identifying and highlighting overdue accounts for management action.
Escalate high-risk or long-outstanding debts to the Finance Manager and legal team when necessary.
Prepare periodic AR reports and reconciliations for month-end closing and financial analysis.
Qualifications and Requirements
Academic Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Secondary Education: KCSE Mean grade of B+.
Professional Certification: CPA/ACCA qualification (or currently in progress) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience specializing in Accounts Receivable or credit control.
Technical Proficiency: Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and financial modeling skills.
Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Attributes: High integrity, ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
