Reeds Africa Consult (RAC) is seeking a motivated and dedicated Accounts Intern to join their finance team. RAC provides a wide range of Human Resource services, including recruitment, training, and compliance audits. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions within a professional HR consultancy environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accounting records and financial documents.
Support both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare journal entries and update accounting software systems.
Support the payroll processing function and the preparation of statutory deductions.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.
Ensure proper filing and organized documentation of all financial records.
Support audit and tax compliance assignments as requested by the management.
Perform any other accounting-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPA(K) qualification or ongoing CPA professional studies will be considered a significant advantage.
2-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
A high level of integrity, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
