
Affordable Housing Board (AHB)
The Accounts Assistant III position is an entry and training grade within the Affordable Housing Board (AHB). Working under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer, the successful candidate will perform various accounting and financial tasks to support the department's operations. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in public sector finance and accounting.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Implement strategies, guidelines, standards, and procedures within the department.\n- Receive, record, and sort documents delivered to the department for processing.\n- Manage processed payments and receipt vouchers, ensuring they are filed according to financial rules and regulations.\n- Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other accounts documents.\n- Perform data entry and maintain primary records including cashbooks, ledgers, vote books, and registers.\n- Assist in the preparation of simple management reports.\n- Participate in the preparation of payment vouchers, imprests, and committal documents.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- A Diploma in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration (Accounting option), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR\n- Certified Public Accountant (CPA II) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.\n- Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications.\n- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and eligible candidates should submit their applications including the cover letter, copy of National ID, copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials, and detailed CV.
