Skills Geographic Kenya (SGK) is one of the leading Human Resource Management consultancy firms in Kenya and the East African Region. We are seeking a qualified Accountant responsible for executing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the financial management functions of the organization.
Main Responsibilities
Process daily financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
Manage accounts payable processes and vendor payments.
Handle accounts receivable and premium collection activities.
Perform bank reconciliations and cash management.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile premium and commission accounts.
Process payroll and employee expenses.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field required.
Professional accounting qualification (CPA-K, ACCA, or equivalent) in progress or completed; at least CPA Part II.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Navision, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar preferred).
Understanding of tax regulations including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a busy environment, preferably in insurance or financial services.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
Experience in bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: Kshs. 100,000 - 110,000 plus company benefits.
