The Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS) is seeking a qualified Accountant to lead its Accounting function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting cycle, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial insights. This role involves leading the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and the Council.
Key Responsibilities
Manage financial reporting, forecasting, and the maintenance of financial records.
Handle budget preparation, monitoring, performance tracking, and variance analysis.
Oversee revenue collection, receivables, credit control, and cash flow management.
Manage financial accounting systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and ensure operational efficiency.
Implement and maintain internal controls for accounting, payroll, asset safeguarding, and tax compliance.
Provide financial analysis, advisory services, and decision-support reporting to leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university.
Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of ICPAK in good standing.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably in the public sector or a professional membership organization.
Proficiency in advanced Excel and computerized accounting systems (specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
