We are looking for an Account Assistant to support our financial operations in Nairobi, coordinate store inventory, and handle day-to-day transaction reconciliations.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n* Reconcile daily sales, purchases, expenses, and payments accurately\n* Maintain proper accounting records and filing systems\n* Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and journal entries\n* Reconcile cash, bank, M-Pesa, till numbers, and petty cash daily\n* Monitor debtors and creditors and follow up on pending payments\n* Assist in preparation of financial reports and management accounts\n* Support VAT, withholding tax, and statutory filing preparation\n* Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and deliveries\n* Assist in payroll processing and staff expense tracking\n* Work closely with stores to reconcile sales and stock movement\n* Verify stock transfer documentation between branches\n* Monitor stock variances and report discrepancies\n* Assist in valuation and reconciliation of inventory\n* Track damaged, returned, or missing stock records\n* Ensure accurate costing and margin reporting\n* Update accounting systems on Zoho\n* Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports\n* Maintain proper backup of financial records\n* Support audits and internal financial checks\n* Prepare reports for management review\n\n### Requirements\n* Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field\n* At least 2 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounts assistant role
